BACKGROUND OPTIONS

I don't know why it is such a hard thing to make up my mind about which medium I want to do for the BACKGROUNDS. They all take time, but I think I enjoy watercolors the best, even though the painting is NOT coming up to par these days...  The collage (modified Internet pictures) seems interesting, but...no...TEXTURES are the way to go?!

FINAL MEDIUM

I finally solved what I wanted to do about my medium! I will PAINT all the backgrounds in WATERCOLORS, CEL ANIMATE the hands and faces of the characters, and TEXTURIZE the clothes on the rest of the bodies and puppet them in After Effects.

I remembered watching a movie that has the hands and faces in 3D, but has the clothing in 2D, and collaged backgrounds: AZURE ET ASMAR (2oo6) by Michel Ocelot (France).

FINAL STORYBOARD

Finals, hopefully!

BLEU BLOOD

animation (mixed media)

Bleu Blood is a mixed media narrative of a young prince's journey towards self-awareness.

Inspired by the Buddhist legend of "Siddhartha" and Mark Twain’s “The Prince and the Pauper," the tale revolves around a young prince, disenchanted with his life of responsibility. After sneaking away from the castle one night, he observes the harsh realities of life among his loyal subjects. Forever changed by the experience, he realizes the meaning of his true potential and returns to his life of commitment towards his countrymen with renewed enlightenment.
